In the vibrant streets of Kingston, Jamaica, on the 11th of May, 1979, Karl Van Richards first graced the world with his presence. Born into a family of three sisters - Nicky, Dany, and Stacy - Karl's childhood was infused with Caribbean warmth and familial love. Though his father has departed this world, his mother remains a steadfast presence, shaping Karl's life with her strength and guidance. With roots reaching into both Jamaican and Haitian cultures, Karl embodies a rich tapestry of heritage and tradition.

Educationally, Karl's journey has been nothing short of illustrious. From the Bachelor of Music he earned at the University of Miami to the Master of Music at Lynn University, and then on to Payne Theological Seminary, where he achieved a Master of Divinity with summa cum laude honors, Karl's pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds. Currently on the cusp of earning his Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Worship from Liberty University, Karl's academic prowess is matched only by his passion for learning and his dedication to his craft.

As the Director of Chorale Studies at Bethune-Cookman University, Karl assumes a role that is both artistically fulfilling and administratively demanding. Charged with overseeing the artistic vision, conducting rehearsals and performances, and ensuring exceptional musical quality, Karl's leadership shines through in every note sung by the chorale. Beyond his professional duties, Karl harbors a deep-seated ambition to establish an outreach program that promotes music education and appreciation within the local community.
