Dana Cooper’s life story is an embodiment of perseverance, faith, and the unyielding pursuit of personal and professional excellence. Born in Daytona Beach on April 14, 1992, Dana’s formative years were shaped by the strength and vision of a God-honoring family. His mother, a nurse practitioner, and his father, an accomplished artist, instilled in him both a deep sense of responsibility and the value of creativity. With two younger siblings, Dana’s childhood became a breeding ground for the leadership qualities that would define his future.
Growing up in Daytona Beach, Dana’s childhood was a tapestry of sports, art, and early lessons in self-esteem. He spent many summers with his grandparents, where he learned to step outside his comfort zone. As the only child for seven years, Dana had to advocate for himself and find ways to make friends, which fostered a resilience that would carry him through life’s challenges. Sports became a defining aspect of his youth, giving him the confidence to take on leadership roles early on.
In pursuit of higher education, Dana followed his passion for health and wellness, earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. This academic journey laid the foundation for his ultimate calling—becoming a chiropractor. Dana’s decision to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic was a pivotal one, as it would set him on a path to not only heal the body but also to serve the soul.
Today, Dana is the proud owner and chiropractor at N. Harmony Wellness and Alvarez Family Chiropractic. His practice is rooted in the holistic principles of health that emphasize the body’s innate ability to heal itself when aligned with its natural state. His approach is grounded in his deep faith, which guides every aspect of his work. Dana’s passion for educating families about living a healthy lifestyle is reflected in his role as a mentor to other healthcare providers, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of healers.
One of Dana’s most significant career milestones came in 2020 when he was honored as the Best Chiropractor in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. This recognition, along with his feature in the Jacksonville Voyage Magazine, solidified Dana’s reputation as a trusted authority in the chiropractic field. However, his achievements extend beyond his professional accolades. Dana is a committed member of several professional organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, the Florida Association of Chiropractors, and the Chamber of West Volusia. His community involvement is just as extensive, with active participation in the Rotary of Deland and New Hope Church Men's Fellowship.

Many of us are waiting on a sign, but what if we won't see that sign until we get on the road.
While Dana’s career achievements are noteworthy, the story of his personal struggles and triumphs is where his true character shines. In 2017, Dana’s life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with hypertension, prediabetes, and high cholesterol. Despite being athletic and health-conscious, Dana faced a period of intense health battles that shook his confidence and understanding of his own body. It was a time of deep anxiety, and he found himself questioning how such a fate could befall him. Yet, in his moments of vulnerability, Dana turned to his faith, remembering the prayer he had made as a younger man: "Lord, make me a vessel."
Through these health challenges, Dana learned a profound lesson: "You are not going through challenges for you. You are going through challenges because your most valuable asset is your testimony." It was through overcoming these trials with God’s guidance that Dana realized the purpose behind his struggles—he had to endure to become the person capable of guiding others through their own hardships.
Dana’s story is one of constant growth and evolution. His career, rooted in a passion for healing and service, mirrors his personal transformation. Dana’s core values—faith in Christ, a commitment to personal growth, and a dedication to his community—serve as the foundation for everything he does. His personal mantra, "The safest place to heal is still in one's own kitchen," reflects his belief that true healing begins within, through conscious choices and self-care.
A man of many talents, Dana has a wide array of hobbies that speak to his curious nature and love for exploration. Whether it’s reading nonfiction, diving into the world of sci-fi movies, traveling, or studying languages, Dana continually seeks to broaden his horizons. His study of Spanish, both in the classroom and in Costa Rica, adds another layer to his dynamic personality. Many are surprised to learn that he speaks Spanish fluently, a testament to his dedication and passion for expanding his worldview.
Despite his many accomplishments, Dana remains deeply grounded. He credits his wife and child as the driving force that propels him forward each day. Their love and support provide him with the motivation to continue striving for excellence in both his personal and professional life. Dana is not just a healer; he is a vessel for change, dedicated to helping others find their own path to healing, wellness, and spiritual growth.
As Dana reflects on his journey, he knows that his work is far from over. His ultimate goal is to continue educating families about the principles of a healthy lifestyle and to train and consult other healthcare providers. Dana’s faith in God and his unyielding desire to make a difference in the world continue to fuel his mission. His story is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that we are all capable of overcoming the challenges life throws our way. Through his work, his testimony, and his example, Dana Cooper is changing lives, one adjustment at a time.
