Kenneth Lewis's story begins in the heart of Daytona Beach, Florida, where he was born on February 14, 2014. Raised by his supportive mother, Shaquala, and his father, Kenneth Sr., with the love and guidance of his older brother, Power, Kenneth's childhood was filled with family warmth and endless memories. But one moment would stand out for the young boy forever: cooking on the grill with his grandfather. These cherished times spent together would become a beacon of inspiration for Kenneth, especially after his grandfather's passing, which would shape the course of his life in ways he never anticipated.
In the halls of Turie T Small Elementary School, Kenneth stood out not only as a bright student but as a young man of incredible resilience. His academic journey, though dotted with challenges, would soon reflect his unwavering spirit. The passing of his grandfather in October 2024 left a deep emotional scar, and the grief seemed to cloud Kenneth's focus, causing his grades to slip. But Kenneth, guided by his family's strength and his own inner drive, chose not to let sorrow define him. Instead of succumbing to the weight of loss, he found solace in hard work and dedication.
Never give up!
Determined to honor his grandfather's memory, Kenneth set his sights on improving academically. He threw himself into his studies, diligently working with his mother and teachers to regain his footing. His perseverance paid off when he received the prestigious "Most Improved Student" award and made the Honor Roll—a testament to his relentless effort. It was in this moment that Kenneth truly learned the value of never giving up, a lesson that would stay with him for the rest of his life.
Outside of school, Kenneth nurtures a variety of interests. Whether he's playing games on his PS5, fishing by the water, or experimenting with cooking in his air fryer, Kenneth enjoys embracing life's simple pleasures. His love for scary movies and popcorn offers him an escape, while his admiration for Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies reveals his playful side. However, it is his passion for adventure—whether on the football field or in pursuit of his dream of becoming a firefighter—that truly defines his spirit.
As a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program and a participant in his school's Kidszone program, Kenneth already shows signs of leadership and a desire to make an impact on others. His future is filled with possibilities, whether in sports or service, but one thing is certain: Kenneth Lewis will never stop chasing his dreams. For this young boy, the lesson learned through adversity is simple, yet powerful: Never give up!
