Rickey Moore: Service and Honor



Rickey Moore was born on July 17, 1973, in the city of Daytona Beach, Florida. He, with his wife, Cherise, by his side, have been blessed with three wonderful children aged 26, 21, and 17. In addition to his immediate family, Rickey is one of five siblings, with three older brothers, one older sister, and one younger brother.

Rickey's educational journey began at Bethune-Cookman University (BCU) after he graduated from high school. While he hasn't completed his Bachelor's degree yet, he's currently and diligently working on it and is just a few credits away from achieving that milestone.


Outside the classroom and military life, Rickey's passion lies in coaching football, casting lines while fishing, and teeing off on the golf course. These hobbies allow him to unwind and connect with his love for sports and the outdoors.


Currently, Rickey Moore serves as part of the Active Duty Army National Guard, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing all logistics for an AIR Defense Unit. His 30 years of continuous service are a testament to his dedication and commitment to his career, earning him the prestigious nomination for the Supply Excellence Award in 2016.

Always work hard at any given task and always be the best version of yourself.

Although he is not a member of any professional associations, Rickey has his sights set on the future. He plans to retire from the military in September 2024 and embark on a career in real estate, showcasing his vision for new horizons.


In his life, Rickey Moore lives by the motto that one should always work hard and strive to be the best version of themselves. He has personally faced the challenges that come with growing up in a neighborhood with limited opportunities but defied the odds, breaking through stereotypes to maintain a thriving professional career for 30 years.


Rickey's commitment to the community is evident in his involvement as a little league sports coach and his volunteer work for Toys for Tots. He plans to continue his community engagement and coaching pursuits after his military retirement.


And for a fun twist, not everyone knows that Rickey is quite the chef. He can whip up a delectable meal from almost any cuisine and, more importantly, it always tastes amazing.


Rickey Moore's life is a testament to hard work, resilience, and unwavering commitment to personal growth and service to the community and country. His inspiring journey from humble beginnings in Soul City projects to a distinguished military career and his future aspirations in real estate are a testament to his determination and spirit. Rickey encourages everyone to work hard and strive to be the best version of themselves, no matter the challenges they face.
